Sunday at the Nest

Today was a day of rest from the normal routine of Robin's Nest.  Church was in the morning and they asked our team to lead the entire service on Saturday afternoon.  Our team did a terrific job without hesitation!  We lead worship, read scripture and shared a short devotional for the entire Robin's Nest Staff and kids.  We worship as most of you did on Sunday morning...God was glorified and worshiped.

Every Sunday 20 or so of the kids get the privilege of going to the beach of Montego Bay.  We joined them and had a blast!  Relationship with the kids are raised at a new level, just by spending a whole day with them and having fun.  Put it this way, the 30 minute bus ride back to the Nest from the beach, most of the kids were sleeping and so were most of us.

Sunday dinners are also special for the 8+yr olds.  They get to eat with the staff and have a "family supper".

We just concluded the evening with a time of encouragement and debrief with our entire team on the roof of the Robin's Nest.  The stars were absolutely beautiful and plentiful, and the moon was so bright it lit the entire sky.  None of us wanted the evening to end.  We are all amazed God is using us in His redemptive story for each of these kids.  Even if it just a week out of a lifetime, God's plans include us for Robin's Nest Kids and staff!
